Hi, I'm Luz do Sol.
It's funny how rhythms seemed to simply fall into my lap. And the more I drum, the more I love it.
It began playfully in Bali, with a simple cajon. Yet, life soon led me to drum in sacred ceremonies and support world-class artists on stage. I didn't consider myself a drummer, but drummers themselves began asking me to teach the intricate Afro-Brazilian rhythms I'd intuitively explored for my "Brazilian Spirit" concerts.
Later, in Europe, I found myself holding ceremonial space for hours with only drum and voice, intimately connecting with the djembe and congas.
This journey culminated in a month-long immersion in Brazil, deepening my understanding of rich Afro-Brazilian traditions like Candomblé, Umbanda, and Maracatu.

Will this training work for me?
Yes, we believe so, because it was designed for any level. If you are a complete beginner, you will easily learn fundamental techniques and vibrant rhythms. If you are a more experienced musician, the abundance of authentic patterns, diverse styles, and deep insights will enrich your understanding and expand your repertoire on any instrument.
What if I have very little time to practice?
No problem at all! Our videos are really short (6 minutes per rhythm) and go straight to the point. Even just 10 minutes a day is enough to see real progress. Consistency, not long hours, is what truly builds skill. Plus, these short sessions can become a therapeutic moment in your busy day, a sacred pause for self-care and joy.
Do I need a specific instrument to start?
While we teach with various percussion instruments (cajon, djembe, conga, shakers, etc.), the rhythms can be learned and practiced using just your hands, your body, or a simple surface around your home. Start now making music with what you have!
Are there song tutorials too?
This training is all about unlocking new rhythms and grooves — no song tutorials here, but you will get links to awesome songs we recommend for jamming along.
